APPROACH

In collaboration with other builders and woodworkers I take on diverse projects ranging from single pieces to large scale renovations and new construction.   In terms of both woodworking and project management my strength lies in my attention to detail.

I come to this work from a longstanding interest in design and color, originally grounded in photography and printmaking.  Like these earlier pursuits, woodworking allows me to spend my days concerned with beauty, form and color but adds a tactile component.

As a finish carpenter I have the opportunity to indulge the details in handwork and craft. My particular love is for built-ins.  I welcome opportunities to consult on color and will occasionally take on compelling interior paint projects.

My love of the details is also in service to the logistics of overseeing varied projects.  I aim for a customized and responsive collaboration with the client.  In certain cases I fully manage a project and take care of all aspects of permitting, obtaining materials, and arranging for the participation of trade professionals. In other situations I provide support as needed and can adapt to the client's changing needs.
